How 3D Supports a Rebrand or a Product Launch

How 3D supports a rebrand or a product launch

Using visualization and animation for a rebrand or a product launch offers a range of benefits and possibilities that can significantly affect a brand’s marketing and communication success. In 3D we create visuals showing products planned for release in different colour and material variants, and in every intended size, before the first prototype exists.

For technical or technological products, 3D graphics let us not only present every detail in perfect light with engineering precision, but also look inside — under the housing or through a device’s layers — explaining its construction and showing its advantages. We prepare every product this way without a photo shoot, showing it in digital quality as a visualization or in animated promotional spots for social media, a new website, or TV ads.

Video marketing is the most effective form of communication, crossing language barriers and holding attention longer than written content. Animation and film engage the senses, drawing the viewer in more easily than other forms of advertising.

If you’re planning to bring a new product to market, the support of a 3D animation studio will certainly help.

In short: 3D graphics let you show a product in perfect light before it physically exists — crucial for a rebrand or a product launch. Real examples: the visual rebrand of Hexonic (heat exchangers), the launch of the Sol-Millennium medical device (winner of iF Design, Red Dot and Good Design — the awards are for the product, not our work), the launch of the SLIM air curtain for Flowair, and the rebrand of the Bacardi-Martini office.

3D in a rebrand — heat exchange industry | Hexonic

For example, during the rebrand from Secespol to HEXONIC, we supported the new brand’s visual identity. In 3D we built consistent communication for printed promotional materials and a new website, showing heat exchangers in a low-key style, on black.

Lit for contrast, the steel products stand out from the surrounding website. This let us prepare a striking, stylistically clean product presentation that underlined the technological character of the new brand. The rebrand was covered in the trade press: HEAT EXCHANGER WORLD.COM

Launching a product — medical industry | Sol-Millennium

In the medical industry, presenting the advantages, construction and correct use of procedural products is a key element — not only in marketing communication, but also in training and educational materials.

For the launch of the innovative “Sol-Guard™ Safety Pull-Button Blood Collection” system, we helped Sol-Millennium present all of the product’s advantages in animation and 3D visuals. The set allows safe one-handed activation and immediate retraction and securing of the needle after use, helping to prevent accidental needlestick injuries and exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

The product went on to win Red Dot Design, Good Design and iF Design awards in 2022 — recognition for the product itself, not our animation. Our 3D work was used in promotional communication on the website, in printed advertising materials, and as booth graphics at trade shows.

Promoting a new product — HVAC industry | Flowair

3D graphics and animation are a great way to support marketing. For the launch of an HVAC air curtain developed by the R&D department at Flowair, we helped by creating promotional materials. This let us build a landing page showing the SLIM curtain animated in different colour variants, before a prototype existed.

Another advantage of 3D graphics is the ability to present, dynamically, the components each object is built from — in animation you can quickly see and get to know the internal construction and the available versions of the SLIM curtain: electric, gas or water.

In 3D we can easily place any object within an interior arrangement. That lets you get to know not just the product and how it looks, but also how it can be used in spaces and interiors of different character where it might appear.

If you’re designing a new device — whatever your industry or technology — it’s worth showing it to the world as a visualization or a 3D animated film.

In this form there are no creative limits, and a whole campaign can be built from CAD files, without a photo shoot, even before the first prototype is produced.

Rebranding an office — architectural animation | Bacardi-Martini

In a rebrand, 3D graphics can also be very useful for changes of decor or interior arrangement. Changes to an office layout, planning new graphics and communication in a space’s decor, or an interior visual-identity design — all can be presented in a visualization as soon as the idea takes shape.

That’s how the animation showing a cross-section of one of the building’s floors came about, during the rebrand of the Bacardi-Martini office in Warsaw.

3D graphics and animation are a great way to support marketing. They let you show any object in perfect light — even one that hasn’t been produced yet. At Modelight we create content promoting products being brought to market. We also help prepare eye-catching advertising for rebranding efforts across different industries.

Where can product visualizations or animations be used?

  • publications on websites or dedicated landing pages showcasing new products
  • promotion on social media
  • short, eye-catching advertising animations
  • publications on marketplaces such as Allegro or Amazon
  • print — from flyers, through catalogues, to large-format prints
  • trade show stand designs for booth-build printing
  • animations for TV screens at trade shows
  • advertising spots aired on TV

Let us know if you’re planning a rebrand or a product launch — we’ll be glad to advise how to show it at its best in 3D.

Frequently asked questions

How does 3D animation support a company rebrand?

It lets you quickly prepare consistent visual communication for the new brand — products in the new style, without organizing a photo shoot. For the rebrand of Hexonic (formerly Secespol), we produced visuals of heat exchangers in a low-key style on black, consistent with the new visual identity.

Can you show a product in 3D before a physical prototype exists?

Yes — it’s one of the main advantages of 3D graphics. For the launch of the SLIM air curtain for Flowair, we built a landing page with the product animated in different colour variants, before the first prototype existed.

Is 3D animation suitable for training materials in the medical industry?

Yes — for the launch of the Sol-Guard™ product for Sol-Millennium, the animation showed the operating principle and advantages of the safe blood-collection system, used in both marketing and training materials.

Does 3D graphics work for rearranging office interiors?

Yes — visualization lets you show changes to an office layout or a new interior visual identity while it’s still just an idea. One example is the floor cross-section animation for the rebrand of the Bacardi-Martini office in Warsaw.

Where can a finished product visualization or animation be used?

On a website and dedicated landing pages, in social media, in short advertising animations, on marketplaces (Allegro, Amazon), in print (flyers, catalogues, large-format prints), on trade show booth builds, and in TV spots.
